I am going on this trip with my church, River Glen. They have been organizing and supporting trips like these for many years now. While we are in Haiti, we will be working through Mission Discovery, the organization that sets up missionary work for groups around the world, and staying in the New Life Children's Mission Guest house. These are two very imortant parts of our trip. Without those two organizations none of this would be possible. Soon after 2010’s devastating earthquake, Mission Discovery teams arrived in the heart of the hardest hit areas. Today they continue to return because 400,000 Haitians live in tent cities amid abhorrent conditions. Collaborating with national and international ministries, they work in redevelopment to establish safe and thriving communities, and ultimately produce sustainability to reverse the spiritual and physical void that has been present for generations.
